Japan

I honestly feel awful about what is going on in Japan right now. So many families and people are in danger, it's crazy! I don't know what I would do if I was ever in that position, and I respect everyone who is surviving still during this horrible occurance. It's so unfortunate that has happened to Japan and how many people have died or been injured.
I think more schools and companies should hold fundraisers for Japan because they are in such a huge crisis as of now. It would help the survivors of the disaster and could help rebuild many communities that were destroyed. I hope everything is going to be okay in the future and my prayers are with everyone in Japan.

Arts in Schools

I think it's great to have arts in school. It really helps people find what they might like to do after or during school. I think more schools should have arts programs because it appeals to more kids and helps them get acquainted with high school more. It might bring others together, too. I don't think it's a waste of money to have arts programs because it really gets kids involved. Also, if it's for a good cause more people are interested in it and will help out.
Schools would be very boring without arts programs. Arts are very popular in Burlington High and I would assume they're popular in others, too. As you may know, there are TONS of kids interested and involved in theater in BHS and it's good because it keeps kids busy and they meet knew people.

books vs. e-books

I think that e-books are better than books. Its easier to read on them too because you can zoom in if you can't read the text as easily. Also, regular books get ruined it so much easier than e-books. E-books are a lot of money as opposed to some books, though. Keeping e-books charged are also something to worry about, but they are known for having good battery life. I like e-books better than regular books because you can highlight words and look them up right on the spot. You can also mark them up without it being permanent. With regular books you can't mark them up sometimes because they belong to the school.
In the future, I think e-books will definitely over come regular books. This is because everyone is more up to date with modern technology because everything is advancing so quickly. Also, since modern technology is trying to make it easier for everyone,this way more people will want to try them out. I think more people will like e-books because it's a change from the classic book. It's more hands on, I think and it gives you more control to zoom and look up words.

Internet Bullying

I think internet bullying is awful. People get really hurt by the things bullies say via web. I believe something should be done about it because it's getting very serious. Many people have commited suicide or the thoughts might have passed through their head because of cyber bullying. The people bullying others really should get some sense knocked into them because it's not okay to do what their doing. Even though it may seem like it's harmless because it's over the net, it's far from harmless.
This usually occurs over facebook, people always hear about facebook "fights" and altercations online. If someone ever reads one of these"fights" they will notice many different examples of cyber-bullying. They are constantly insulting people and it really hurts peoples' feelings. I think that if many people get together and start a group against cyber bullying people will finally come to realize how hurtful it is and it will come to an end soon enough!
